What that means
Three things, and they are the same three every time.
Boutique, not a body shop
A small number of projects at a time, and the person on your first call is the person writing the code. Nobody gets handed to an account manager after the contract is signed.
An engineering firm, not a deck factory
The deliverable is a running system with tests, logs and instructions — not a strategy document and a set of slides about what somebody else should build.
Production over demos
The interesting problems are the ones that show up in month three: load, cost, bad input, the provider changing under you. We build for that from the first commit.
The short version
Lunaris started from a simple observation. Most businesses don’t need a large agency and they don’t need the enterprise platform they keep getting quoted for. They need someone who understands the problem, gives them a real number, and delivers something that works on the date they promised.
So the practice is deliberately small. The people who take your first call are the ones who write the code, and specialists come in — design, infrastructure, frontend — when a project genuinely needs them. That means saying no to work that isn’t a fit, which turns out to be better for everyone involved.
The practice has been shipping since 2022. More than fifteen projects in. Still small on purpose.
Where we are
Remote, and easy to work with.
Based in Chișinău and set up to work remotely across Europe. Our hours overlap the whole working day in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and the Nordics, so nobody is waiting overnight for an answer. Calls in English, contracts and invoicing handled properly, and we’ll travel for a kickoff when a project warrants it.
Experience across automotive, banking, telecoms, pharmaceuticals and land — sectors where being wrong is expensive and the system isn’t allowed to be down. Sectors only: we don’t print client names we haven’t been given permission to use.

You talk to the person building it
No account manager, no handover to a junior once the contract is signed. One conversation, the whole way through.
We get the expensive parts right first
Most of what software costs arrives later, the first time it has to do something slightly different. We spend the time up front on the decisions that are expensive to undo.
Fixed scope, agreed before we start
You know what is being built before any work begins, and it doesn’t move unless you change what you asked for. Changes are quoted separately and in writing.
Nothing is locked to us
The code, the accounts and the instructions are yours, written so another developer could pick them up. Staying should be a choice, not the only option you have.
